Yesterday I went to watch the demolition of the Athlone Towers in Cape Town.
Many people missed the actual dropping of the towers as the event occurred about 5 minutes earlier than planned. I caught the tower dropping, just barely.

I received these photos over email and think they are pretty cool.
As far as I can tell this is the demolition that happened over the past weekend.
Have a look at the photos below. Hopefully the moves being made are going to soften the traffic for those using that highway.
