Some of you might know that once upon a time I played music, in a band, on stage and even recorded an album. [see below for songs]

Now the reason I bring this is up is as follows; The lead singer of the band I was apart of, Bevan Lynch, has started his own band called Stereo in Flight. They are playing their very first gig in Durban.

    Hi Nic,

I was hoping to see your take on the proposed attack and silencing effort of the ANC regime on free press and media in South Africa, especially as you and I – although from two extremely differing point of views – publish regularly on events, incidents and developments in South Africa. While your blogsite will hardly raise any eyebrows among the ANC hoodlums attacking democratic values in South Africa, I can fear for my blogsite, health and life soon as a result of the transformation underway by the hands of the ANC.

But don’t feel too safe yet, Nic. Today’s friends of the ANC will one day meet the same scorn and fury from the regime, as the current relentless attacks on press freedom are just the beginning.
