Fantastic to see a blog post like the one I read today from Park Life.
Here’s a little excerpt from their great blog post and a photo or two!

An asshole taxi driver decided to take a shorty down the emergency lane – crossing those very yellow lines that are meant to warn of such a cowardice act – and found himself driving straight into the open clutches of the JMPD!
The policemen pulled ‘Try Me Taxi 47′ over, offloaded all the passengers, cuffed the driver, and put him in the back of the piggy van. As the above photo’s show. (privacy respected)
What.the.fuck?!
The Black Dude behind me opened his window, whistled at the police and started clapping! Serious!
I did the same, and before we knew it, that whole row of traffic was hooting and cheering at these brave law enforcers…how nice!Another taxi spotted the waiting passengers on the island and thought he’d take a shorty too – just the same – to rescue them…thinking the police wouldn’t notice…think NOT! These cops were good, real goooood!
Just as the poor commuters started loading themselves into ‘Stop Anywhere Taxi 39′, the cops removed the driver and slapped the cuffs on him too.

A rather idiotic posting over a triviality. It is not an act of cowardice to cross yellow lines and to handcuff a driver at gunpoint for a traffic violation typical for a savaged tribal territory the world all over pokes fun at.
Fittingly, our man at the top visits England today, amidst widespread ridicule and insult in the media; deservingly.

You should be more selective with re-posts from other sources that serve no other purpose than marvel over bad English, describe trivial non-events, use obscene language and demonstrate imbecility. Ta!

Elgar, your negativety is hilarious! You are arrested for ‘reckless endangerment’ if caught driving in the yellow lane. Fact!
And dude, really…my English? When do we say “Ta” as thank you anymore? The world changed, dude…did you not notice when Madiba was released?
Nic, you’re doing a great job here! Don’t let this toss change that!
Thanks for the shout out!

Hi tosser (cam)!
While we stopped using “dude” in the 1980s already, “ta!” came to the fore some 20 years later. Do try to keep up. Ta!
Nic, I also believe you are doing a “great job here” under the circumstances. The often one-sided glance at our land through your pink specs may be forgiven: it is your prerogative, in your blog, to portray South Africa as you see it. The occasional brush of fresh air of reality that I helpfully provide in comments cannot obscure the fact that we both love South Africa unreservedly.

trying to get on-topic,there will be bad apples in the police force like everywhere but the majority are good people doing a tough job,the police in SA must be faced with some traumatic sights,i don’t envy them their job,i thank them for their bravery and often unappreciated hard work protecting fellow South Africans.

I personally think they are doing a great job but what amazes me about how they do their service is the fact that crime statistics are so high in SA that any other African country. what makes SA so valnurable to crime that even foreigners are so free to commit any crime leaving their countries. this is a matter of concern. Is the government doing enough to protect its citizens. Im just a curious young girl troubled about the future of this country.
