Mandela Day – 67 minutes

What will you be doing for 67 minutes tomorrow? I’m a little unprepared right now, so I’m not quite sure what I’ll be doing.

But there are options as MR President JZ has proven (he’ll be doing a couple of things apparently).

You could clean up the litter on your neighbourhood streets for 67 minutes.

You could search for you nearest charity and spend 67 minutes helping out wherever they need you.

You could simply buy some food and give it to a street beggar (repeat for 67 minutes).

You could also simply switch the TV off and spend some quality time – outdoors – with the ones you love.

Try to find a Soup Kitchen near you and spend 67 minutes helping out.

Take 67 minutes, drive to all your lazy friends, collect tinned food, a blanket or old clothes from them and donate them to a charity.

Do yourself a favour, become a volunteer.

There is alot that can be done in 67 minutes.

What’s your plan?

I will be soaking in the hot tub for 67 minutes, remniscing about all that went wrong in the past 20 years: the scandals, the misappropriated public funds, the squandered resources, the emergence of an autocratic ANC fiefdom, the poor state of the economy and the 26% unemployment rate and the countless victims of random violence in the country.

I was in SA, on a visit from Dubai, on Mandela Day. It was impressive to see so many people giving their time to a worthy cause. I also jumped on the band wagon and visited a childrens’ home in Sunnyside Pretoria. The children were amazing and the work done by Child Welfare Tshwane is inspirational.

Nick, what a load of ‘hogwash’, I lived in Australia, it’s ‘racist’, people are unfriendly, unsociable & ‘backstabbers’ get real, that’s why I & 39 0000 South African’s have returned, sure we have our problems here in SA, but People generally are warm, genuine, humble & understand display humility. Most South Africans are religious & we are passionate about Rugby, you need to read the news on ninemsn & see how Crime is on the increase in Melbourne,Sydney etc, come out of your cocoon & appreciate, at least here in South Africa, we have great weather & now how to enjoy good brrai’s

No, they wont go specifically to whites, nor blacks. The funds will go to children in Johannesburg. The organisation is called JOHANNESBURG CHILD WELFARE. Not Johannesburg BLACK or WHITE child welfare. Get a grip and have some context.
