Lekota speaks but is a Breakaway party right?

Above is the what Former Defence Minister and senior member of the ANC Mosiuoa Lekota had to say today at a press conference in Johannesburg.

He also had this to add about the ANC:

He has a good point, the best place to speak about our country, it’s ruling party and the issues at hand is anywhere where one can make the most noise. Not in the confides of closed doors.

I like to maintain that a breakaway party is a good thing for our country, it shows that our democracy is working. However we need to be realistic and realise that this party will probably have no great affect on the coming elections and should be gearing itself towards the next election in just over 4 years time.

The ‘breakup’ of the ANC is not a real breakup — it’s a staged breakup; to create the illusion of a breakup.

In this manner, the ANC alleged ‘breakaways’ can form an ‘oppositional’ ANC; and then the ANC will have two heads, with the same body; they shall just change the heads now and then, in the same manner as the Democrats and the Republicans are the same essential party, with two heads (Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee).

It is a rather ingenious strategic Machievelian move, which interestingly either (i) no-one in the ‘Thought Leader’ media have the strategic analysis skills to have picked up yet, or (ii) they have and are afraid to inform the public of such opinion.

It was simply a very very effective coup d’etat against the DA, as the official opposition; and installing the ANC’s own pretend opposition…

Absolute power, corrupts absolutely… this is a good thing, even if it is like you (JAGCorpSwan) says being a fake break away… the good thing about it is that as my statement about power proved over and over in history – it will get corrupted somewhere. And if that happens, the “fake break away party” will succumb to the pressure of “power hungry politics” and will become a true opposition.

To be honest, even if 1/2 of the ANC vote ANC#1 and 1/2 vote ANC#2, it’s still a good thing – because then no ONE party has a 2/3 majority in SA anymore.

Democracy thrives on border-line wins, and this is what I’m hoping for in the future for South Africa.
