Last night I joined Martine and Ian from the HCR Blog and SA Good News respectively on Athol Williams’ show “The state of the nation” on Classic FM.

I thoroughly enjoyed the full hour show and the debate that was sparked. There really is too much to blog about so I have uploaded the podcast to SA Rocks. It’s an hour long but only 13mb in size so feel free to download it and listen.

Click here to download/listen to the podcast.

I tried hard but failed dismally to upload it on to SA Rocks. I just didn’t have the time today to upload it to the site.

Great show! Awesome to hear the 3 of you all chatting together on this debatable subject.

It really excites me that their are people like you guys with a positive stance on the state of our nation. So refreshing.

Going to try get to the Homecoming Revolution this Sunday.

I’ll definitely be returning soon once I’ve reaped my “global opportunities” :)

Thanks Mark. It was fun taking part and I’m sure there are only bigger and better things ahead of South Africa! :)

Indeed, chatting is far more like it — DEBATE ain’t what is going on in South Africa; there ain’t a debate on any topic by TPTB in South Africa….

It’s all a very fancy smoke screen….. and allot are deceived.

The media racket in SA is even deceiving those participating in it; thinking they are the 4th estate; nothing could be further from the truth — hopefully they wake up to their lehman brothers enterprise before it sinks us all

“A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small “inside” group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many.”

It was a fantastic discussion. I agree, we need more discussion and more debate. I encourage people to get as much fact as you can – don’t be swayed by superficial sensationalist media reports. I am currently in the UK at an international conference on social, economic and political affairs – South Africa has major challenges but no country is immune – others are battling with terrorism, disease, financial crisis, social decay – all far worse than we experience. For me the message is that we have a global responsibility to work towards stability and as citizens of particular countries we have the same responsibility to work towards national social stability.
