I Love Cupcakes

Posted on 03 September 2008

I really do love cupcakes but that’s not what this post is about.

Having breakfast in Parkhurst this past weekend I was told of a story. A magical place where dreams become cupcake reality!

I Love Cupcakes is a fantastic little (really really tiny) story on the main 4th street strip of Johannesburg. If you love cupcakes and live in that area do yourself a favour and head through. When I arrived there were to young girls manning their stations. That was it, two young girls looking as if this was the modern day equivalent of a Lemonade Stand outside of ones house.

They began to rattle off the types of cupcakes they had; Cuppaccino, Choc-Chip, Tiramisu, Mint-Choc, Vanilla (always a classic), passionfruit and pineapple and many more that escape my memory.

Here are some pictures of the lovely cupcakes that I bought (I couldn’t resist)

And guess what? In the name of all things web 2.0 they have an online shop!! Get over there now and have a look at their stunning website and get yourself a cupcake or two or three or four. Oh bugger it, get yourself one of each flavour.
