A very short post to let you know that tickets for the Football World Cup 2010 will go on sale on 2 Feb 2009. Yes, that is correct, less than a year away so you better start saving.
Apparently the tickets will be affordable to the SA public and Fifa expects that SA citizens will be the majority holders or interested parties in the tickets for the 2010 world cup.
Fifa has not yet decided on ticket prices, but Will stressed that the cheapest seats will be affordable to ordinary South African supporters.

From the article you register to buy tickets and it goes into a lottery type thing where your name is drawn and you then get to purchase tickets. Or am I missing something?

It seems as though what you have picked up is for certain types of ticket buyers. What I got was that individuals (let’s look at locals) will be able to buy up to four tickets per person at one time. Which prevents mass purchase. Then you have affiliated sports organisations that can buy up to 700 and distribute to their clubs…

heya, anybody recieved confirmation about tickets yet?? fifa debited my bank account a week ago but i have heard nowt, i’d like to start planning. can’t wait to go!!!
