I love this channel - I've already caught up on the beloved prison break and greys anatomy that were missed, compliments of Eskom! I say well done M-Net!

I love this idea. I dont even watch a lot of tv, but think this is good planning.

In the UK, on their freeview channels they have a "+1" system. Meaning you can watch channel4 or channel4+1 (the same programming an hour later).

Read between the lines. MNET is creating another dud channel and will pump advertisers with cooked statistics (viewer-ship) in order for them to buy advertising space on a channel that shows recycled material. Another money making scheme from a company that has been monopolising pay TV with content that would never survive if there was real competition. Poor media buyers will be bombarded with 'opportunities' to have their products visible to the masses that are plagued by Eskom's madness. I am laughing so hard.

Yeh, keep the TV switched off. Read, talk and listen to music (on the mp3-player or iPod if the no power). This country needs bridges build through communication between the diverse cultures and TV is robbing us of that opportunity - mostly anyway bad news and depressing stuff on why not too live here. I love this country and its diversity. Let talk! Dialogue from which solutions to crime, HIV/Aids, corruption, economy, etc will flow.
