I dont even watch a lot of tv, but think this is good planning. In the UK, on their freeview channels they have a "+1" system. Read, talk and listen to music (on the mp3-player or iPod if the no power). This country needs bridges build through communication between the diverse cultures and TV is robbing us of that opportunity - mostly anyway bad news and depressing stuff on why not too live here. I love this country and its diversity. Let talk! Dialogue from which solutions to crime, HIV/Aids, corruption, economy, etc will flow. Yeh, keep the TV switched off.
