Wow it has been a very long time since I heard a South African band with a catching, new, individual and potentially massive sound. Bloodmoney has all of these things.
Myvideo has their latest release:
Maybe I am just in the mood for some rocking SA tunes, or maybe this band is truly fantastic, but the above video is incredible too. I have seen worse videos by some of the biggest bands in the world.
After visiting the bands website I now realise why they sound so damn good. Two of the founding members of Sugardrive are present in the Bloodmoney lineup. Sugardrive had seven albums that I know of so it is no bloody wonder that Bloodmoney sounds the way they do.

Yeah – this band is really the most exciting thing in SA music in the last little while – looking forward to their new album coming out soon!
The album is being mastered by the same guy that did Filter… THAT’S exciting!

I’ve just punted bloodmoney to a BBC Radio 1 dj. Probably nothing will come of it, but how cool would it be if they got an international fanbase?!!

I must admit from seeing the lead singer start this roller coaster ride many years back and seeing what he’s accomplished now, I take my hat off to you tim. You have done so well, and it’s great hearing something fresh and new.Being in London I hope to hear you guys on the radio this side. This truly some good SA music…

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

How is it that just anyone can create a weblog and get as popular as this? Its not like youve said something extremely impressive –more like youve painted a fairly picture about an issue that you know nothing about! I dont want to sound mean, right here. But do you genuinely think that you can get away with adding some quite pictures and not definitely say something?
