Ed’s Note: A while back Eric had his wallet and phone stolen, I posted on his blog regarding the issue and have just been made aware that the suspect was apprehended. Good job SAPS!!

I’ve just got a mail from one of the other people who were also taken in, that someone has been arrested!
“Hi Eric,
I just wanted to let you know that my husband went to the station this morning and identified the girl who stole my purse. Apparently the taxi driver who drives her around was caught using my credit card and he led the cops to her. So, I just wanted to let you know that if you have time and any inclination, you should give the Sergeant a call and go take a look because it may be the same girl who took your stuff?
You can speak to Sergeant Van Reenen on (incorrect number – still trying to find correct number) or leave a message for him at the Sea Point Police Station… explain to him that you opened a docket and we told you that he had the girl there. He said to us that the more people who ID her, the better… so maybe it’s the same girl?”
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD THAT A SUSPECT HAS BEEN ARRESTED…
Thanks for the post Eric and the positive news. Thieves can be caught so be proactive, play your part and speak to the police when an incident occurs!
