This was a tough one for me. I had my eye on Shane’s and Mark’s designs, both were fantastic. Great job to everyone who contributed and to Shane and Mark for winning and being the runner-up.
Now get that button and stick it on your blogs people!

Congratulations – absolutely the right winner!
Please don’t forget to ask Shayne to remove the rather lame ‘I Think’ part, as indicated in the contest-comments.
or (being assertive….):
“Shayne, could you please remove the ‘I think’ part? It takes away all conviction from the statement: ‘SA Rocks’. Period.” – Nice job, well done!

@ Sjefke – seems like the design request is being ignored

Hi guys – No your request aren’t being ignored I promise.
I am just trying to think things through concretely. I have only received this request from two readers, while many others love the design. I also “think” (hehe) that you might be misinterpreting the intention of the “I think” part.
It is meant to be an expression of opinion, not a representation of uncertainty.
You are stating that you think/believe in your opinion that SA Rocks!
Does this help or do you think im rambling??

The fact that we are discussing the ‘I think’ part now in itself already shows that people do interpret it differently – so, you’re not ‘rambling’ Nic – we are just ‘confused’
Here’s the confusion: one can ‘think’ something as in ‘I feel’ or ‘I believe’ – however, to me that seems (an historically) incorrect use of the word ‘think’ – ‘thinking’ inherently means one is not sure (yet).
In this form the statement sounds like an expression of preference, acknowledging that others might choose or feel differently – which is, of course their full right – instead of a bold, no-room-for-misinterpretation claim.
Just my 2cents and small change.
