I think Mr Bullard should publish a monthly newsletter in his inimitable style. It would be available to subscribers only on the internet. Say ten editions per annum at R20 per edition per subscriber. I have no doubt 1000 people would subscribe R200 a year to receive such newsletters. At
R200 000 pa Mr Bullard would be ensured of a Cohiba occasionally.

Sorry about that, something wrong with my browser — it went and posted a response to Vinc Maher here. But surely this is not all about cookies and hits? I’m quite pissed off that corporate capital is fighting for control of my desktop, and then refusing to compensate in cases where it clearly does not own copyright.

But then you would see all of this differently from your side. The publisher owns everything, even if the notion of publication in a virtual world is not as firm as it once was. Guess this comment is going to be feeded a million times through google and eventually find its way to the wayback machine, an excellent digital utility for going back thirty minutes in time?

As for relevence? Do I need brain surgeon to tell you where this is all going to end up? L I T I G A T I O N (very expensive!)

The trouble with so many advocates of what Paulina Borsook calls Cyberselfish, is that Vinc Maher (who probably models himself after Vinc Cerf) having gone to all the effort in advocating a creative commons, sold us bloggers out to corporate capital. The kind of dog-eat-dog world populated by condescending, snide hypocrites like David Bullard.

So whatever Vinc says, is liable to be proven wrong in a court of law. Take, the notion of property. I own my own words right? Well, under SA copyright law, I don’t. Big publishers, like the kind that run this website, having bullardozered us off the creative commons, now want to own cyberspace.

This is the reason why I have had to demand some form of apology, and if not compensation, then at least an acknowledgement from Vinc, that he does not own my blog!!!!!

Come on, Vinc, you lied. Then you denied that you lied. And now you’re lying through your teeth!!!!
